Description

Rare Collectable 1967 Vintage Frankoma Plate (GIFTS FOR THE CHRIST CHILD). These are a limited Edition and there are no seconds, John Frank produced these collectibles because he seen a need in America for it's own collectibles. John designed a series around the most important season of the year, Christmas. For John Frank this plate originates with a gift from God the Savior of the world and his plate points to this message, therefore the plate bares a biblical message and word. He first introduced a plate in 1965 with a master mold through to 1973. The plates are not numbered and are copyrighted and no seconds sold. After 1973 his daughter Joniece Frank took over her deceased father's pottery, per Schiffer Book for Collectors 3rd edition. During this brief period each one of John's plates bares his signature on the back of his plates. This beautiful plate is ready to hang for display.
